Before founding Jakubowitz & Chuang LLP, William worked as an associate in the patent litigation department of a multi-national law firm. He earned his law degree from New York University Law School. Before that, he graduated magna cum laude from New York University with a bachelors in biochemistry and economics.
In his practice at Jakubowitz & Chuang LLP, William has focused on matters related to intellectual property and civil litigation. He also has prosecuted trademarks and counseled clients on protecting their trademark and copyrights. He has represented both right-holders and accused infringers in copyright and trademark cases.
William is admitted to the New York State Bar, and the bars of the federal courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He is a member of the New York County Lawyers Association, and the New York State Bar Association.
William is conversant in Mandarin Chinese. He enjoys hiking in his spare time. He is a board member of and legal advisor to the Holly Civic Association, and a member of the Kissena Park Conservancy.
